2026 SPAN Suicide Awareness Walk

Hope Bereavement Care and the Geelong-based Suicide Prevention Awareness Network (SPAN) invite you to the SPAN Suicide Awareness Walk, held annually since 2010.

The 2026 SPAN Suicide Awareness Walk will take place on Sunday 13 September 2026 from 9:00am at Eastern Park (pavilion behind the Geelong Botanic Gardens, on the bay side) in East Geelong.

A dream of SPAN’s founding members, the Suicide Awareness Walk is a positive and active family and community event where people directly or indirectly affected by suicide can come together and pay tribute to lost loved ones, offer support to those who are hurting and, ultimately, embrace the gift of life. It is a safe and welcoming space that aims to reduce stigma and raise awareness around suicide and to encourage connection with others on the same grief journey.

There is no cost to register for the event. We do invite participants to donate to Hope and help continue our much-needed work supporting those who have experienced the suicide death of a loved one.
