Rapid, flexible and round the clock
Using DRT to provide integrated transport in low density urban environments
This webinar will focus on bus service designs that support off peak travel and low density areas, industrial zones and hubs. It will look at two case studies, one serving an airport and the other a hospital:
- The Go2Gate DRT service, designed in collaboration with Thames Valley Buses. Go2Gate serves Heathrow Airport via a rapid direct link with on-demand pick up stops that is operational from the very early morning until late at night.
- VGI-Flexi on-demand bus service serves the Ingolstadt Hospital in Bavaria, Germany, running at night and at weekends. It is used by hospital staff for travel to and from work when their shift times do not fit in with the regular timetable of scheduled buses.
The webinar will also cover design considerations and options for services serving business parks, hospitals and other key employment hubs.
