Are you Among Us? Do not be an imposter come join us for the second Among Us program, facilitated by our amazing and enthusiastic Central mentors! During the game, you'll be given tasks to complete—but beware! There’s an imposter trying to sabotage you and your team. This game is not only fun and engaging, but it's also a great way to make friends and build important employment skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork!
Come and join us every other Tuesday for the next 2 months during the spring season as we work on three exciting youth-led projects, guided by our NYLD mentors! The first project is to plan, film, and produce an NYLD documentary. This film will highlight newcomer settlement stories from NYLD youth, showcasing their resilience & strength as they navigate life in a new country. The second project is the NYLD podcast, where youth will have the opportunity to share more about who they are. We’ll explore their interests, future aspirations, and of course, their cultures. The final project is the NYLD Community Book, which will celebrate the power of community through photos, memoirs, and art. You’re welcome to join one or all projects—it’s a great way to have fun, learn new skills, & earn volunteer hours!
