About the Host: Cate Goethals is an executive coach, longtime university professor and founder of the UW Foster Women on Boards program.  She has coached hundreds of senior leaders in transition to more satisfying roles and lives, often through a portfolio approach.

As organizations accelerate AI adoption, many generate momentum without realizing meaningful business value. This session explores how to move from experimentation to impact , where autonomous and semi‑autonomous AI is reshaping how work gets done. The discussion will cover a variety of areas ranging from ecosystem partnerships, operating model shifts to data readiness, ethics, talent strategy and more. In her new book, "Having It All: What Data Tells Us About Women's Lives and Getting the Most Out of Yours", Wharton professor and economist Dr. Corinne Low takes a different approach to the conversation — one grounded in research, experience, and real tradeoffs rather than “top 5 tips.” She examines the economic forces shaping women's decisions about careers, relationships, time, and money, then offers practical tools and frameworks for navigating them more clearly. 
 
On May 13, WLRL is bringing Dr. Low to our community for a moderated discussion with Tama Smith, Head of Women Living a Richer Life at Brighton Jones.

About Our Featured Speaker:
Dr. Corinne Low is an Associate Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where she teaches an award-winning course on the economics of gender and discrimination. Her research has been published in leading journals including the American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, and Journal of Political Economy. 
 
Her first book, “Having It All: What Data Tells Us About Women’s Lives and Getting the Most Out of Yours” (Flatiron), is a USA Today national bestseller and an Amazon Editors’ “Best Nonfiction” selection, reaching #1 in categories including Women & Business and Work-Life Balance in Business. She was named one of Poets & Quants’ “40 MBA Professors Under 40” in 2024, and her work has been featured in outlets such as The New York Times, Bloomberg, New York Magazine, CBS Mornings, and Forbes. 
 
Dr. Low regularly speaks to and advises firms, and she teaches in Wharton’s Executive Education programs. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University and her B.S. in Economics and Public Policy from Duke University, and she previously worked for McKinsey & Company.
