High-performing women in tech are often praised for their ability to deliver under pressure—but sustained performance at this level comes with a cost that isn’t always visible. Many continue to function at a high level while their nervous system, cognitive capacity, and overall wellbeing are quietly depleted.
In this focused and science-driven session, Nneka Symister, LCSW breaks down what chronic stress actually does to the brain and body and why high performers are often the last to recognize the impact.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of how stress affects attention, decision-making, emotional regulation, and long-term health, along with why traditional approaches to “pushing through” can ultimately reduce performance over time.
The session also introduces practical, evidence-based tools to help regulate the nervous system, protect cognitive capacity, and support sustainable high performance in demanding environments.
Participants will leave with:
A clear understanding of how chronic stress impacts brain function and the nervous system
Insight into why high performers often miss early burnout signals
A framework for recognizing cognitive, emotional, and physical depletion
Practical tools to regulate stress in real time
Target Audience: Women in tech roles experiencing cognitive and emotional overload
