Five members of She's Got The Mic Speakers Collective will each deliver the first 3–5 minutes of a talk they're building, developing, or polishing, followed by live, facilitated feedback.

Together, we'll explore:

• When were we hooked?
• Where did we start to lose you?
• What was the strongest line?
• Was there too much setup?
• What are we curious to hear next?
• Is the real opening hiding somewhere inside the opening?

In this interactive virtual workshop, award-winning author and book coach Brooke Adams Law, founder of Writing Brave, will help you begin uncovering the idea that could become your book and think differently about what makes a book worth writing.
Because the best books don’t simply share information. They change the way people think, feel, and act.
During this 45-minute workshop, Brooke will help us explore:

• How do you turn your expertise, stories, and ideas into one clear, compelling concept?
• What transformation could your book create for its readers?
• What is your book really about, and who is it for? 
• How do you start writing? 

Whether writing a book has been on your vision board for years or you’re just beginning to wonder whether your signature message could become something bigger, this workshop will help you start seeing the possibilities.

Brooke Adams Law is an award-winning author, book coach, and founder of Writing Brave. She helps speakers, coaches, consultants, and other experts uncover their boldest ideas and turn them into nonfiction books with a clear point of view and the power to create transformation.
Brooke holds an MFA in creative writing from Fairfield University and a BA in English from Vassar College. Her debut novel, Catchlight, won the Fairfield Book Prize and was named a Best Indie Book of the Year by Kirkus Reviews.
Through her nonfiction coaching, Brooke has helped speakers, consultants, coaches, and other experts turn their ideas and expertise into books that make an impact.

Speaker ApplicationsMembers of the She's Got the Mic Speakers Collective are invited to apply to speak at The Visibility Experience.
We'll be selecting both 10-minute Spotlight Talks and 20-minute Signature Talks.Priority for the 20-minute Signature Talks will be given to members who have completed the Build the Talk program or are currently enrolled, as these presentations are designed to showcase fully developed signature keynotes. These spots are limited, so if you have recently been selected for a longer keynote at a SGTM event, though you are still encouraged to apply, we will be fair to those who have not yet had the opportunity.Applications are open, and the application deadline is Thursday, September 3rd at 6 PM. All applicants will be notified by Friday, September 4th at noon once selections have been made.

The Rewatch Feedback Party: Physicality

What is your body saying before you even say a word? For our first Rewatch Feedback Party, we're pulling past She's Got The Mic talks out of the vault and watching them through one specific lens: physicality. Movement. Gestures. Facial expressions. Posture. Eye contact. Stillness.

All the things we may not even realize we're doing when we're onstage. Sound OFF. Sound ON.

We'll feature clips from four past SGTM speakers, watching portions first with the sound OFF. Where do our eyes go? Does the speaker look confident and connected? Are her movements intentional? Can we tell when something important is happening without hearing the words? Then we'll turn the sound ON and watch again. Together, we'll explore what changes, how the speaker's physicality supports the message, and where small adjustments could make the delivery even stronger.

We'll also study a clip from a great speaker outside of SGTM and break down what we can learn from watching her. Want Your Talk Featured? We're looking for four past SGTM speakers willing to put their footage under the microscope.

 No new talk. No preparation. No getting back onstage. We'll revisit a portion of one of your previous SGTM talks and use it as a live learning opportunity for you and everyone in the room.

Welcome to The 10:10 Speaker Lab, an intimate evening of speaking, coaching, connection, and transformation from She’s Got The Mic Speakers Collective.
Seven members will take the stage for up to 10 minutes each.
Immediately following each talk, Robyn Hatcher, Keynote Speaker & Communication Strategist, will join the speaker for 10 minutes of live, one-on-one coaching.
This isn't feedback from the sidelines.
It's an opportunity to dig into what is working, uncover what could be stronger, and explore the specific changes that could take a talk, message, story, or delivery to the next level.
And while only seven women will take the stage, the coaching is for everyone in the room.
