The inaugural Quality Rural Bus 2025 event is being presented by Landor LINKS and supported by the Department for Transport and the Bus Centre of Excellence Quality Rural Bus will showcase innovative approaches to connecting rural communities with nearby towns and suburban areas. Living in a rural area often means travelling longer distances for everyday journeys to work, school or to access healthcare and shops – and for many in rural areas, most such journeys are made by private car. The Government is committing funding and policy leadership to improve bus services, and part of this commitment is support for the Bus Centre or Excellence (BCoE). With the right levels of investment and funding support, buses have the potential to be the workhorses of the public transport network. Good bus services are critical to meeting net zero targets, improving air quality and keeping the UK’s communities connected and accessible. This event will look at new opportunities for reviving – and creating – vital routes and services, and at the developing role of the BCoE.
