Is your student applying to college soon? Parents of precollege students are invited to a FREE virtual learning event on April 21, from 6:30 to 8:00pm ET. This session is part of an ongoing series for parents, mentors, and caregivers, and an opportunity to connect to engineering students and professionals as they share strategies and resources to help familias navigate the common app, entrance exams, writing essays, getting letters of recommendation. This event will be available in both English and Spanish.

In this two-part workshop series, you’ll step into the director’s chair and treat your career like the movie you’re creating. Using a movie-inspired framework, we’ll focus on the behind-the-scenes work of executive presence: building the right crew, showing up with confidence in high-visibility moments, and communicating your value with clarity. 

Across both sessions, we’ll focus on how to: 

•    Build your film crew: identify the relationships and partners who will help elevate your impact. 
•    Sharpen your movie pitch: clearly articulate your strengths, value, and career direction. 
•    Strengthen executive behaviors: influence decisions, communicate concisely, and navigate high-stakes moments. 
•    Approach recognition with purpose: translate your work into impact and advocate for yourself authentically.
