Join us for a Grad School Application Workshop where we’ll walk through the essentials of applying to graduate programs. From understanding what programs are looking for to building a strong application, this session will cover practical tips, common mistakes to avoid, and resources to help you get started with confidence.

During this workshop, we will:

• Break down the graduate school application process
• Share tips on how to get started and stay organized
• Discuss what makes a strong application (including personal statements)
• Provide resources to support your application journey

The session will also include interactive breakout rooms, where you can:

• Get feedback on your personal statement
• Ask questions in a smaller group setting
• Have 1-on-1 conversations with volunteers and mentors

This event is open to undergraduates, professionals, and current graduate students who are exploring or preparing for graduate school.

The SHPE Technical Achievement and Recognition (STAR) Awards recognize those in STEM who are changing lives through their community outreach, work, and research. We encourage you to nominate those you feel represent the best in STEM and embody the SHPE vision.
 
The winners will be announced in the Fall and celebrated at the 2026 National Convention in Indianapolis during the STAR Awards Gala and the Excellence in STEM Luncheon.
