This time, we sit down with Rajul Garg, Founder and Managing Partner at Leo Capital. From founding companies that became global technology leaders to backing the next generation of startups, Rajul has spent decades on both sides of the startup journey: as a builder and as an investor.

Rajul co-founded Pine Labs, now a leading payments company in India, and GlobalLogic, a global leader in digital product engineering. Today, as the Founder and Managing Partner of Leo Capital, he invests in early-stage technology companies across India, the India–US corridor, and beyond, supporting founders at the very beginning of their journeys. With over 25 years of experience building companies, investing in startups, and navigating the challenges of entrepreneurship, Rajul brings a unique perspective on what makes companies grow from early ideas into category-defining businesses.

Maria 01 NEXT Startup Festival is a 2-day celebration of the bold ideas, companies, and people shaping the future from one of Europe’s leading startup communities.

Maria 01 NEXT is more than an event – it’s a full-day celebration of what’s coming next in entrepreneurship and innovation. A new kind of startup festival. Built by the community. Open to the world.

Hosted at the Maria 01 campus, in the heart of Helsinki, NEXT puts the spotlight on the startups building the future, the partners who support them, and the investors who believe in them. From early ideas to bold conversations, from open doors to unexpected encounters, this is your front-row seat to one of Europe’s leading startup communities in action. It’s a chance to peek behind the scenes, meet the people, and feel the energy that powers our ecosystem.

Last year we were honoured to welcome on stage RELEX Solutions, Cuckoo, Finnish Startup Community, Maki.VC, Cherry VC, Alliance VC, and Microsoft. The guests enjoyed panel discussions and keynotes, as well as live demos of Maria 01 startups and participants of the first Northern Light Accelerator batch. Maria 01 community members organised workshops and open offices, and our beloved partners held free consultations open to all guests. Alongside the morning run, campus tours, sauna, and hot tub, it was a true highlight of the year, followed by an amazing Afterparty, which gave our guests the chance to network and connect in a laid-back atmosphere.
