Session day and frequency: 1st & 3rd Tuesdays
    Session Time:  7:30pm Eastern/ 6:30pm Central/ 5:30pm Mountain/ 4:30pm Pacific
    Sessions length: 90 minutes

    Always monitored/facilitated by ADDA volunteers

Finding a community  of peers who understand you can be difficult, especially when you have ADHD. The goal of the Young ADDults Hangouts Group is to provide a social space for young adults with ADHD to connect with each other. Our members range from eighteen into their thirties.
This group is an offshoot of the Young ADDults Peer Support Group and is another opportunity to meet with friends in a more informal space. Here, we have game nights, craft nights, or just talk about our favorite movies/books/etc.

So join us and come meet, chat, and laugh with fellow young adult ADHDers!

    Wednesday 19 November ⋅ 01:00 – 2:15 (UTC)

    Time: 2nd & 4th Tuesday at 8pm Eastern/7pm Central/6pm Mountain/5pm Pacific
    Sessions: 90 minutes

Do your conversations feel awkward? Do you wonder (or have people told you) you’re:
    • Too loud?
    • Too scattered?
    • Too impatient?
    • Too… much!
Do your co-workers (friends, family, everyone!) misunderstand you? Ignore you? Avoid you?
For adults with ADHD, this is often the case. If it sounds a lot like your life, we made this group for you!

ADDA helps adults with ADHD lead better lives. But how can you lead a better life when you can’t get along with family, friends, classmates, co-workers, business associates (or your dry cleaner!?) This group will help you change all that.

This support group will help you get along better with people. You can expect to:
    • change your outlook,
    • connect with your peers,
    • build a new awareness of social expectations,
    • learn to interpret social signals,
    • adapt your behavior to those signals and,
    • (finally!) feel like you fit in!
Many adults with ADHD struggle with social skills and often feel lonely and left out. If you’re tired of feeling like that, we’ve lined up an all-start team to help you navigate the social world with realistic and practical strategies that are sure to improve your people skills.
Please join us on Wednesdays.MEMBERS SIGN-UP HERE

As 2025 draws to a close, many people with ADHD feel the weight of unmet goals, unfinished projects, and the relentless pressure to “do better next year.” This webinar explores the powerful connection between ADHD, shame, and self-criticism—and how these patterns can intensify during the end-of-year reflection period. Join us for a compassionate, practical discussion about how ADHD brains process expectations and self-evaluation. We’ll uncover the neurological factors implicated in shame, why shame-driven motivation backfires, how to recognize the inner critic in action, and what it means to release perfectionism in favor of self-understanding and growth and how a little humor goes a long way. This session is meant to promote mindfulness about how ADHD shapes your relationship with achievement. This session offers space to breathe, reflect, and reset.

    Learning Objectives:
    • Identify negative self-talk traps
    • Connect to the therapeutic power of humor
    • Learn how shame shows up in the brain

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks.

In the Productivity Powerhour+ (Pomodoro Style) sessions, we'll have two 25-minute work periods, each with a 5-minute break. During the break, we talk about our challenges, share our wins, or brainstorm ways to get unstuck.

We use the ZOOM app, accessible by computer, smartphone, tablet, and landline.

ADDA members from coast to coast connect via ZOOM. Each person has a To Do List, maybe chores they have been procrastinating about: Cleaning off desks, sorting and filing paperwork, preparing tax documents, and so on.

The session begins with everyone stating aloud their goal for the first 25-minute Pomodoro cycle. Then everyone mutes their line and gets down to business.

We reconvene by ZOOM in 25 minutes for an accountability check-in as well as to brainstorm if someone is stuck.

While the other participants on ZOOM are not literally in the room together, attendees can feel their presence all the same.  Knowing you will need to check in about your progress—and that you can get support if you are stuck—makes all the difference.

Getting stuff done together makes working a lot more fun.

We know how hard it is for ADHDers to meditate. We've been there. It's boring, it's frustrating, it's mind-boggling. And yet, research shows that it is really good for us. Getting things done is easier with a friend, even meditating.

Mindfulness helps to control and train our attention, increase self-awareness, regulate emotions, and lower anxiety and impulsivity.

Recent studies have shown that people with higher levels of awareness have higher levels of well-being and positive emotions.

This support group is for anyone who would like to learn more about the many benefits of mindfulness meditation. Additionally, we will provide support for establishing this life-changing habit.
For the meditation practice, we will be using the Waking Up App created by neuroscientist and philosopher Sam Harris. https://wakingup.com/

While the sessions build on each other, we encourage you to join in at any time in this series.
Mindfulness is a very simple practice of focusing on our breath, and bringing our attention back to it whenever our mind wanders. I call it \"bicep-curls for the brain.\" Sam Harris does an excellent job at providing guidance, and this app has worked wonders for me. There is additional high-quality content in the app that I regularly enjoy listening to. That said, there are many great meditation apps in the marketplace. I would encourage you to check them out, and use what works best for you.

If you would like to try the Waking Up App, here is a link for a free one-month subscription.
The yearly subscription costs $100 in the U.S. (other regions the price may differ). If you would like to use the app but truly cannot afford it, please request a free account. While Waking Up App operates a business, they believe that money should never be the reason why someone can't gain access to Waking Up.

Join us on Saturdays. Find your flow with a little help from your peers.

Session day and frequency: Weekly, on Saturdays
    Session Time: 6pm ET / 5pm CT / 4pm MT / 3pm PT
    Session length: 90 minutes

Women with ADHD often face distinct challenges in the ways ADHD symptoms manifest differently compared to men.

This is a support group created specifically for women navigating life with ADHD. Whether you’ve just been diagnosed, have been living with ADHD for years or suspect you have ADHD, this space is designed to provide support, encouragement, and valuable resources to empower you and help you thrive.

This group recognizes the intersectionality of ADHD with other identities and challenges, such as being a woman of color, a parent, or a professional. We welcome all individuals who identify as a woman with ADHD.

Are you in a committed relationship where ADHD is a third partner? Do you wish you could talk to other couples who are living with ADHD? Do you wish you could talk to experts in adapting to a marriage that includes ADHD? If you answered yes to any of these questions then this is the group for you.

Typical symptoms of ADHD – distractibility, impulsiveness, disorganization – also impact other family members, especially if they live under the same roof.

Common complaints from non-ADHD partners are: feeling ignored, stressed out, and frustrated.
The partner with ADHD often feels: overwhelmed, subordinate to their partner, and afraid to fail (again).

It doesn’t have to be that way. This group will focus on strategies to bring back or enhance the spontaneity, affection, and playfulness that first attracted you to each other.

ADDA believes happier partnerships are an integral part of leading our best lives.

This group is an offshoot of the Young ADDults Peer Support Group and is another opportunity to meet with friends in a more informal space. Here, we have game nights, craft nights, or just talk about our favorite movies/books/etc.

    Sessions: 90 minutes
    Upcoming sessions: Wednesdays
    Time: 7:30pm Eastern/ 6:30pm Central/ 5:30pm Mountain/ 4:30pm Pacific

We live in a society in which men are expected to “be strong”, to “push through it”, or to show no weakness. And even if we overcome those stereotypes, being publicly “out” about our ADHD can have an impact on our careers and our relationships.

It's all about men with ADHD becoming their best. ADDA's support group for men with ADHD provides a regular virtual forum where men* with ADHD (diagnosed or suspected) can gather in a safe, non-judgmental space to talk with and learn from each other about the rewards and challenges of living with ADHD.

*Participants are men, or adults who identify as male, and who talk openly and honestly about life experiences – both positive and negative.

    Topics for discussion:
    • What does it mean to be a man with ADHD?
    • How has it affected our jobs?
    • How has ADHD affected our relationships?
    • Our lives – goals and aspirations
    • How do we view ourselves?

Women with ADD/ADHD are often diagnosed later in life. As adults we are at risk for divorce, single-parenting, unstable finances, not completing college, eating disorders, drug or alcohol abuse, and under employment. That said, common ADD traits also include, above average intelligence, the gift of gab, an adventurous spirit, high-energy, and creativity. Join us as we share our experiences, fears, and hopes, explore our strengths, and draw inspiration from each other. Women 50+ ADDA Virtual Peer Support Group provides a safe place for women with ADD/ADHD to give and receive advice, support and encouragement.MEMBERS SIGN-UP HERE

    Thursday 11 December ⋅ 00:30 – 1:30 (UTC)

    Sessions: 90 minutes
    Upcoming sessions: Wednesdays
    Time: 7:30pm Eastern/ 6:30pm Central/ 5:30pm Mountain/ 4:30pm Pacific
