Upcoming Aromatherapy Events

This one is not distilled at all.

Copaiba is an oleoresin. It is tapped straight out of the trunk of a standing tree in the Brazilian rainforest, the same way you tap a maple for syrup. No still, no steam. The tree makes it and we collect it.

And if you were with us for the chemistry series, the report is going to look familiar. Copaiba is one of the richest sources of beta-caryophyllene we carry, by a wide margin.

✨ What We Will Explore and Create Live
We will make a lotion, and get into:
• Tapped versus distilled, and what an oleoresin actually is
• The beta-caryophyllene callback, straight off the current report
• Why a sesquiterpene-heavy oil behaves the way it does in a lotion
• What wildcrafted means when the tree stays standing
• Three quiz questions up top, answered at the end

🍵 The Tea
Cup in hand, as always.

🎁 The Gift and the Deal
The attendee gift and the oil-of-the-week deal are open to everyone watching.

🏆 The Weekly Giveaway
Drawn live for members of the 12-month study group.

October opens underground.

Our Vetiver Green is not a flower, a leaf, or a peel. It is a root, and you can hear that the moment you open the bottle. It pours like cold syrup. It is one of the few oils where the texture tells you what the chemistry is before you read a word of the report.

Heavy, slow-moving, deeply grounding, and completely different from anything we have opened so far.

✨ What We Will Explore and Create Live
We will build a foot scrub, and get into:
• Why a root oil behaves so differently from everything above the soil
• Sesquiterpenols, and what those big heavy molecules do to viscosity and to aroma
• An honest look at the report, including the part of it that is still unidentified, and what that tells you about the limits of the test
• Why vetiver is a base note and how little of it a blend needs
• Three quiz questions up top, answered at the end

🍵 The Tea
Bring a cup. Tell us what is in it.

Our Grapefruit is more than eight tenths d-limonene, and it is cold pressed from the peel rather than distilled.

Both of those facts matter this week. The limonene is why it smells the way it does, bright and clean and immediate. The cold pressing is why we talk about the sun: a pressed citrus peel is where a sun rule on skin comes from, and grapefruit carries one. So we make the format that gets rinsed off, a sugar scrub, and we walk through the rule so you can use grapefruit with confidence.

Grapefruit is also The Thriving Aromatherapist's oil of the month, so this hour is the setup: we get to know it together, and Karen blends with it all November inside Thrive.

✨ What We Will Explore and Create Live
We will make a grapefruit sugar scrub, and get into:
• d-Limonene at more than eight tenths of the bottle, and what that means for aroma and shelf life
• Cold pressed versus distilled, and why the method decides the sun rule
• How to read a citrus report and know which bottles need the rule
• Why a rinse-off scrub is the sun-smart format
• Three quiz questions up top, answered at the end

🍵 The Tea
Bring your cup and tell us what is in it.

🎁 The Gift and the Deal

🌿 An Invitation to Thrive
Karen goes live with Grapefruit on Thursday, October 29, inside The Thriving Aromatherapist, and blends with it all month alongside a community doing the same. If Tea Time is the hour, Thrive is the practice: https://www.thriveeo.com
