How to enable an access code for an event

This guide explains how to enable an access code for your events. Applying an access code to your event can provide an extra layer of privacy to the event if desired.

  1. Sign in to your account at AddEvent.com
  2. Select the calendar that contains the event you would like to assign an access code
  3. Click the icon that takes you to the Event page

Applying an access code

  1. Scroll down to the Access code section on the Event page
  2. Type in the passcode and toggle to the right to enable the passcode
  3. Click save

Attendee experience

If you have an access code enabled, your audience will be redirected to the event landing page no matter how you share your event. Attendees will be prompted to enter the access code before they can see the event details on the event landing page and add the event to their calendars.
